Sushi at Teri-aki

Not very hungry, so opted for the shared sushi mori awase (15 piece combo) at the Teri—aki in the Quayside plaza off Bridge Street in Cambridge. The sushi itself featured prawn, salmon, tuna, squid and red snapper. There were 6 sashimi (vegetable in rice, rolled in seaweed and cut into small cylinders), and four other delicacies — beef on rice, tofu, monkfish, and (best of all) salmon roe, whose orange eggs produced a burst of saltiness into the mouth. It’s a very good meal for those who don’t want to eat much, making up in taste what it lacked in quantity. The Aliguer Cava chosen to accompany it had no depth or after-taste to speak of. The place is deservedly popular, giving excellent value and very good food. It has ‘disabled access,’ and sure enough, Stephen Hawking glided past us on his wheelchair. I couldn’t make out enough detail on his computer screen to see if he had solved the secret of dark matter in the universe.
