A sweet change

I was in Cologne last week, and had a bit of spare time to look round the city. The Christmas market near to the huge cathedral was in full swing, and I couldn’t resist buying a few things from the stalls. I almost never buy sweets, but on this occasion bought three packs.

The first pack was macadamia nuts coated in milk chocolate. They were nice to try, but the combination didn’t work so well as I found the nut a bit bland. Then came kirsch (cherry) candy, which were good provided you didn’t try to bite too soon. The final pack was my favourite, a soft peppermint candy with a milk chocolate inside. I’m sure they were full of sugar, but my next appointment with the dentist is several months away…
