A nice, if a little bland, wine, this one was described on the front label as ‘full flavoured, dry and fruity’. I often consider it a bad sign if they feel it necessary to mention this stuff on the front, but it does often mean the wine is better value! This was a Colombard-Chardonnay blend, and perfectly acceptable. From Australia, it was a slightly disappointing 12.5 percent. Now I look a little closer, in fact, the other usual number isn’t present: it’s non-vintage. I’d describe it as melons and peaches, but only just. I would have liked to add a little lemon juice to zest it up (very little, by the way) but didn’t have any in, so didn’t bother!
