Fentiman’s Lemonade

It was a regular local pub – The Mitre – but not a regular drink. For the first time, I tried out the Victorian Lemonade made by Fentiman’s, as pictured. It was remarkably sharp to the tongue, both in terms of the bite and citrus flavours. It wasn’t all that fizzy, much like you wouldn’t expect from a traditionally-prepared drink. There was also a distinct ginger edge to it, which added another layer of interest. The ingredients were mostly good, wholesome stuff, and it lasted well, keeping the same pace as my friend’s glass of red wine.
