Cantal Jeune
Posted On April 6, 2009

It’s a cheese. I made my own lunch with about a third of a baguette, butter, a slice of roast pork, Dijon mustard, cherry vine tomatoes, and some Cantal Jeune cheese. I’ve never had it before, but can report that it’s very good. It is certainly young, but full of flavour nonetheless, and quite able to hold its own amid that lot. With it all I had a tub of the cold stewed apples the French seem to eat a great deal of. They’re delicious, and I don’t know why they’ve never caught on in the UK.
