Italian Tapas
I was celebrating my birthday with some friends at a local bar called ‘Henry’s’ because the planned barbecue had been rained off. This turned out to be alright, however, as the atmosphere was pleasing and the seating comfortable. I even managed to squeeze some lunch between my lime cordial and soda waters. A friend and I shared an Italian sharing plate, which came with green olives, appropriately herbed, several pieces of cured, sliced meat, feta cheese, anchovies, pieces of bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar to dip it into, halved cherry tomatoes, prawns and mozzarella cheese. Quite a long plateful for just shy of £10, and we didn’t manage to eat it all between the two of us, and that was with other people helping themselves to bits and pieces too, of course.
