Quality pub grub

I was surprised at the Sanctuary (a Fuller’s pub in Tothill Street near St James Park) to discover just how good was their special sea-bass. It was beautifully done, soft, light and delicate. It came on green beans with sautéed new potatoes and a delicious creamy sauce.

With it I enjoyed a South African Riebeck Cellars 2008 chenin blanc, which was in fact their house white. I can remember when the house wines used to be rubbish, but this was very good.
