Mare monti again

Yes, still in Nice and it’s our old friend trennette mare monti, an oven baked dish of pasta and seafood. This time it was a bed of spaghetti topped by mussels, prawns, clams and squid in a creamy sauce. There was too much spaghetti for me, and the mussels and clams probably took more calories to extricate than they contributed in energy. Still, it was satisfying, as was the inevitable Provence rosé with which I accompanied it. The thing is that these wines are cheap enough and reliably good, whereas others tend to be more expensive and uncertain.
