Tapas at Tierra Brindisa

Two of us looked in on a great tapas bar and restaurant in London’s Broadwick Street. It’s called Tierra Brindisa and is very cool and stylish. Mt dining companion began with their gazpacho “andaluz” and declared it was very good. Then we shared four dishes between us. We had deep fried Monte Enebro goat’s cheese with orange blossom honey, sautéed green peas with panacetta and mint, Alejandro chorizo cooked in cider, and grilled rack of lamb with confit oven potatoes. There were no duds – every one was beautifully done and presented. We drank a 2006 garnacha, Finca Antigua from La Mancha, which was quite robust at 14 percent, with tones of plum and mulberry. Tierra Brindisa is a great place: good food, good atmosphere, good service and good wine.
