Il ne pas parfait.

Not long ago I enjoyed a 3 course meal at the Atrium restaurant. Starting with beef carpaccio and moving onto this large pork portion.
It was very tasty. The mashed potato is always a bit starchy at the Atrium but the pork and black pudding went very well together. I can never seem to find the large diameter black pudding one gets served in restaurants in the supermarket, which is a shame.
However, I was disappointed when for desert, rather than admit they had run out of iced cinnamon parfait, they instead kept me waiting for about 20 minutes while the moron in the kitchen cobbled together a slab of walls vanilla ice cream with a burnt biscuit with cinnamon pretensions. Only the 20 minute delay meant that I didn’t have time to complain.
Honestly – I really wish they had admitted they’d run out, I would have felt much better about it.
Luckily good company and nice wine made the lunch very pleasant indeed.
