Lunch at Le Deuxieme

I was in Covent Garden, invited to lunch at Le Deuxieme.  It’s quite a posh place with up-market food.  I began with soup of the day which was a really excellent sweet potato soup – totally yummy.  Then I went on to have the tomato, aubergine and Halloumi cheese.  This was also first class, although the photo I took is not clear because it was buried under leaves.  I loved the fact that it was served in a sensible (small) quantity.  It is actually a very filling dish.  I always call Halloumi cheese “squeaky cheese” after Paul wrote it up with that name.  It can squeak on the teeth….
