Rack of lamb at d’Arry’s

lambrack

Two of us popped in on the off chance – they don’t take reservations but we hit it lucky and were shown straight to the last free table.  There must have been a graduation or engagement party across the room, because there was a fair amount of boisterous applause going in.  It lent character to the evening.  I began with gravad lax, always good, and then opted for the rack of lamb.  It was curiously done, in that I expected the usual row of little lamb chops, maybe with paper chef’s hats stuck on the bones.  Thee was only one bone, and the rest with the meat cut off, and beautifully tender.  There was a ‘pudding-bowl’ of rice with it plus some vegetables and a variety of sauces that I wish I’d asked about.  Anyway, highly recommended.
