Initially harsh and alcoholic with an acidic taste I was slightly disappointed.

However, as I had hoped an hour in a decanter led to a delightfully smooth wine, with delicate earthy tastes and mushroom flavours which lessened over time to a vegetal taste (in a good way), a scent of herbs was noticeable on the nose. The tannins remained strong (very) throughout even as the wine became smoother.

A Spleen-did wine!
