I for one love to try lots of new and different places, however, I returned with pleasure to the Lokanda Peskerija to sample more of the menu.

We ordered the Octopus salad we’d had the first time as that was the best dish. We then added the shrimp, which was amazing and became the new best-dish. They melted like butter in the mouth, and we ate them hungrily.

The cuttlefish risotto was also fantastic, the black ink coated everything in a shimmery oil, making it look like someone had added glitter to it, and it had the sheen of a metallic paint – fortunately it didn’t taste like paint!

We ordered slightly more food than we necessarily needed, but I soldiered on an finished the lot. With beer and šljìvovica, the bill was a whopping 287 Kuna or £32.50.
