Vietnamese feast

We dined at the Mekong in Churton Street, an old favourite. Rather lazily we all opted for the ‘feast’ set meal. It began with spring rolls with lettuce to wrap them in, and sesame prawn toast.

Then came the crispy duck with pancakes, spring greens and plum sauce,. We chose the Peter Lehmann “of the Barossa” wine at 14.5 percent.

Then came the main courses of sizzling prawn, spicy chicken and lamb, with three times as much rice as we could eat. Yes, it was indeed a feast.
