La saliere – Monaco

La saliere is an Italian restaurant in the fontvielle district of Monaco. I hadn’t been for about 3 years so it was with slight trepidation I noticed they had refurbished the place – had it changed owners? The menu looked good, and I chose the crab and pineapple salad, a few years before I had eaten the crab and strawberry risotto, so perhaps fruity-fruit-de-mare is something of a speciality?

The salad was really delicious, a nice cold beer accompanied, and torrential rain fell. It was a sunday lunch and soon smart families and young children filed in to the restaurant from church and gave the place quite a nice atmosphere.
