Lunch at the Slug and Lettuce provided a chance to try their Middle Eastern-style flatbreads topped with a sunblush red pepper tapenade. These are like pizzas, but without the cheese and tomato. This rather colorful example featured Lebanese-style chicken with garlic and herb-marinated chicken breast, yoghurt, garlic, peppers, mint, coriander and lemon, served with sour cream. Yes, a good variety of different tastes, and a poke of sweet potato fries alongside. On Wednesdays they currently do any wines for £11.45 a bottle, so a Nobilo New Zealand sauvignon blanc accompanied the food. It came in at 13% with a strong tang of grapefruit.
