Anchovy & prawn quiche
Posted On August 7, 2016
There was food left from the barbecue so I made a quiche. I used 4oz of plain flour with a heaped dessert spoon of bran, mixed in with a couple of spoons of goose fat, and crumbled it together to make a succulent pastry when cooked. I rolled it into a circle and used it to line a ceramic quiche dish. Slices of cheese covered the bottom, then prawns. After that came chopped up onions, red, yellow & green pepper pieces, then anchovies.
I took half a cup of milk whisked up with an egg, and some creamed spinach (which I buy in frozen pellets) and poured it into the dish. Then 45 minutes in a 170 oven and hey presto!
