Chateau Renouil 2006

Christmas is a time for family, right? Its also a time for chaos at the family home. 13 humans, 4 parrots, 3 dogs and two smaller humans (aged 3-6). So it’s inevitable that when they leave I need a little something to calm me down. This year it comes in the form of a Chateau Renouil 2006. It had been laying in the cellar for a number of years (i think i purchased it in 2014). When pouring its a red and brown colour as i would have expected, after its been sitting in the glass for a few moments it actually starts to get more brown. The wine has a nose of burned wood and pencil shavings. I believe i paid about £20 for this in 2014, on Vivino its currently an average of £34-00. I would recommend it. Anyway… back to my wine!
