Japanese Fusion Cuisine at Kintaro, Cusco, Peru
Kintaro is on the 1st floor of an old building very close to Arnos Square in Cusco, on entering the decor was minimalist and recognisable as Japanese and our greeting friendly. We chose 3 dishes to share and opted for the Tokio Rolls which were prawn sushi with avocado and fried seaweed a Tempura dish of Trout, Pumpkin & Vegetable cakes fried in a light tempura batter & a dish called Yakimeshi which was fried rice with vegetables & trout topped with a soy glaze sauce
The Tokio Rolls were the highlight, tasting fresh, tasting great and a bit unique to sushi you can often find. There were no bad points to the other dishes either both being very tasty and would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant, the price is very reasonable for the quality of food they serve.
